Connect PinSeek to your AI assistant
Let ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or a local agent find golf tee times and manage your PinSeek alerts. PinSeek provides booking links and never makes a reservation for you.
01 / choose your assistant
Pick where you use PinSeek
Chat apps connect with one URL and nothing to download. Local agents use a small CLI on your computer. Either way, you approve account access in your own browser.
Add PinSeek’s server URL as a custom connector. Course lookup and tee-time forecasts work right away. The first time you search live tee times or ask about your alerts, the app opens PinSeek so you can sign in. Forecasts, tee times, and alerts appear as cards in the chat.
https://app.pinseek.io/mcpChatGPT
- In Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced, turn on developer mode.
- Create a connector with the server URL above and OAuth authentication. Leave the client ID and secret blank.
- In a new chat, add PinSeek from the tools menu.
Developer mode is needed until PinSeek is listed in ChatGPT’s app directory.
Claude
- In Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the server URL above. Leave the advanced OAuth fields blank.
- In a chat, turn PinSeek on from the tools menu.
Grok and other MCP apps
Add the server URL above as a remote MCP server or custom connector. PinSeek registers the app automatically, so no client ID or secret is needed. Sign in when the app asks.
Using Grok Build in your terminal instead? Pick the Grok Build tab.
OpenClaw
First install the PinSeek CLI, then run this in your active OpenClaw workspace from the extracted pinseek-agent-0.1.4 folder.
openclaw skills install ./skill/pinseek --as pinseekHermes Agent
First install the PinSeek CLI, then run this from the extracted pinseek-agent-0.1.4 folder.
It copies the skill into Hermes’s user skills directory.
mkdir -p "$HOME/.hermes/skills/pinseek"
cp skill/pinseek/SKILL.md "$HOME/.hermes/skills/pinseek/"Pi, OpenCode, and Gemini CLI
First install the PinSeek CLI, then run this from the extracted pinseek-agent-0.1.4 folder.
All three read skills from the shared ~/.agents/skills directory, so the same command works for each.
mkdir -p "$HOME/.agents/skills/pinseek"
cp skill/pinseek/SKILL.md "$HOME/.agents/skills/pinseek/"Grok Build
Grok Build is xAI’s coding agent for your terminal. For the Grok chat app, use the Grok & other apps tab.
First install the PinSeek CLI, then run this from the extracted pinseek-agent-0.1.4 folder.
mkdir -p "$HOME/.grok/skills/pinseek"
cp skill/pinseek/SKILL.md "$HOME/.grok/skills/pinseek/"Muse preview
PinSeek is being reviewed for Muse’s official connector directory. The manual Muse preview uses its own pinseek CLI and Muse-specific skill. The local-agent download below does not install that preview.
Already using the preview? Ask Muse to run pinseek status, then try a tee-time search. For a new manual setup, contact PinSeek for the Muse preview package and instructions.
Your account stays yours
Chat apps hold their own PinSeek connection, and PinSeek never sees your ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok login. The CLI keeps tokens in ~/.config/pinseek/agent-credentials.json for the local OS user. It uses a separate pinseek-cli connected app from Muse. You can set PINSEEK_CREDENTIALS_PATH to isolate agents further. Never put tokens in prompts or skill files.
See and disconnect every app under Account → Connected apps.
What it can do
Tee-time search needs a PinSeek account; in chat apps, course lookup and forecasts work without signing in. Live tee-time checks are limited to 150 a day on a free account and 500 a day for members; results reused from a recent check don’t count. Creating or resuming alerts requires Pro. The CLI and chat apps can manage dated alerts, but repeating schedules and some advanced alerts need editing in PinSeek. Agents should ask before changing alerts. A booking link opens the course’s site; it does not reserve or pay for a tee time.
02 / local agent setup
Install the CLI, then connect
For OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok Build, Pi, OpenCode, and Gemini CLI: requires macOS or Linux, Python 3.10 or newer, and a local shell available to your agent. Download the archive, verify its SHA-256, then run the install commands in your download directory. Then add the skill from your agent’s tab. Muse uses a separate preview setup.
Want your agent to handle setup?
Set up PinSeek for me using https://app.pinseek.io/developers/agents. Download the versioned archive, verify its SHA-256, and install the CLI and skill for your environment. Ask me to approve account access in my browser, then confirm that pinseek-agent status reports connected. Do not book a tee time or create an alert during setup.
Verify the download with SHA-256
Download the checksum file into the same directory as the archive, then run this before extracting it:
python3 - <<'PY'
from hashlib import sha256
from pathlib import Path
archive = Path("pinseek-agent-0.1.4.tar.gz")
expected = Path(f"{archive}.sha256").read_text().split()[0]
assert sha256(archive.read_bytes()).hexdigest() == expected, "Checksum mismatch"
print("Checksum OK")
PYPublished SHA-256: b780a8ed7a69bb02cdbc6ee1b4389fcc448514601f915a359a63b713ab85bc67
python3 -c 'import sys; assert sys.version_info >= (3, 10), "Python 3.10+ required"'
tar -xzf pinseek-agent-0.1.4.tar.gz
cd pinseek-agent-0.1.4
mkdir -p "$HOME/.local/bin"
install -m 0755 bin/pinseek-agent "$HOME/.local/bin/pinseek-agent"
"$HOME/.local/bin/pinseek-agent" statusThe first status should say not_connected. Add $HOME/.local/bin to the agent process’s PATH, or give it the absolute CLI path.
Connect and test
- Tell your agent: “Connect my PinSeek account.” It should run
pinseek-agent status, then start the connection if needed. - Open the URL and enter the code the CLI supplies. Sign in to PinSeek and approve the scopes. The agent checks status until it reports
connected. - Try: “What’s open at Alhambra Golf Course tomorrow afternoon for four?” Confirm that the reply includes the observation time and labels live results versus last scans.
To disconnect later, tell the agent “Disconnect PinSeek”. It should revoke the connection and verify not_connected.
Building another integration? MCP clients can use https://app.pinseek.io/mcp with OAuth 2.1 authorization code and PKCE, including dynamic client registration; discovery starts at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. The CLI and Muse use OAuth device authorization; see the HTTPS API reference.
